Kathleen Denis
Tavernier, FL

When a breathtaking view beckons Kathleen to paint it, her greatest desire is to capture this intimate moment, while inviting her viewers into the scene as they imagine being there.  With a love for the islands and quaint towns, she typically looks for striking light accompanied by interesting shadows and vibrant colors.

Kathleen’s paintings of beach scenes, charming cottages and welcoming gardens have gained the attention, since 1995, of numerous national and international home décor manufacturers, featuring her designs on everything from wallpaper to kitchenware and fabrics.  Currently she paints with oils in a contemporary impressionistic style, showing her works in juried plein air events, galleries, exhibits and her website.

Recently Kathleen is honored to be a featured artist in Plein Air Magazine, January 2018 and to have received 2018 NOAPS International Online Merit Award, along with others listed on her website. Having earned a BFA degree in Graphic Design from the University of Miami, she continues to enthusiastically share this knowledge with her students through workshops.
