Marietta, GA

Ed was raised in the Midwest and introduced to painting and drawing at a young age from his mother who was a professional illustrator. He lived in Akron, Ohio, and took classes at Akron’s Art Institute as a child. He graduated from Firestone HS in 1974 and was accepted to Carnegie-Mellon University majoring in both painting and drawing, graduating with a BFA in 1977.

Ed was a professional graphic designer for twenty years, managed his own ad agency and painted part time. While living in Yardley, Pennsylvania for ten years he was represented by the Golden Door Gallery in New Hope. Since 1996 he has lived in Marietta, Georgia. He is now represented by the Frameworks Gallery in Marietta and Lake Burton Gallery in Calhoun Georgia.

In 2012 he began to participate in Plein Air events in Georgia and accross the Southeast winning numerous awards including five first place finishes.
